Peace begins with each and every one of us...

Peace begins with me, peace begins with you, peace begins with us.
With all that is going on in the world, globally and in our personal lives, it's important to take time to reflect, slow down and pause. In my classes, you'll often hear me refer to nature- nature doesn't rush, there's no force, but seasons continue to change, the sun always shines after a storm, the sun sets and rises each day...
During my time studying at the Chopra Center, we often were reminded of the ripple effect that yoga and meditation has on not just our own lives, but the entire world. Deepak's goal is to train at least 1,000,000 instructors in Primordial Sound Meditation, the training I took part in. If each of us felt at peace, think about how much goodness we could spread around this world.
An example you'll often hear me talk about is the acorn to the oak tree. A rather small seed can grow into an immense tree. We see examples of this all through nature- seeds from flowers disperse themselves which later bloom into a field of flowers. Even fish spread seeds to feed other species in the ocean. Take. a moment to think about how you can spread peace in the world.
Maybe it's taking an extra breath before reacting to a situation...
Smiling at a passerby- this could change someone's entire day....
Letting someone cut you in the line of traffic or in a store...
Sharing a compliment...
These are just a few small examples... Inviting in a regular practice of meditation into your daily routine is life changing. If each one of us were to notice our thoughts, slow our breath down, increase present moment awareness, the world would in turn experience this ripple effect and become a better place.... Little by little a little become a lot.
If you would like to learn more about meditation, yoga, breath work.. join me... virtually or in person.
